Today, February 25th, the Israel Latin America Chamber of Commerce, together with Israel Innovation Authority, hosted an event regarding the possibilities of collaboration between Israel and Latin America. The meeting was attended by Latin American Diplomats, and multiple business people members of our Chamber.
The meeting started with the remarks of Mr. Avi Luvton, VP International Division of the IIA, who shared the keys of the Israel Innovation Ecosystem, highlighting the number of R&D of Multinational Companies in the country and the record statistics of exits and investment rounds, by Israeli companies in 2019.
Afterward, our President Roberto Spindel thanked the presents and spoke about MEET-CLUB, the Chambers program of Innovation. The program offers to Latin American companies the possibility to visit Israel, learn about its ecosystem, have B2B meetings and mentoring sessions with experts in innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event concluded with the presentation of Mr. Alan Hofman, Director of the Latin American Collaborations Department in Israel's Innovation Authority. Mr. Hofman described the multiple programs for collaboration between Israel and Latin American countries and companies, sharing with the presents some examples of these partnerships.

Yesterday (January 29th), the Israel Latin America Chamber of Commerce together with the Embajada de Panamá en Israel - שגרירות פנמה בישראל hosted a highly attended conference at the Sheraton Hotel in Tel Aviv, in honor and with the participation of a top-level delegation from Panama led by the Minister of Commerce and Industries, Mr. Ramon Martinez, the Minister of Agricultural Development, Mr.Augusto Valderrama, and Amb. Carmen Gisela Vergara, Executive Director of ProPanama Investments.
The Conference focused on the new business and investment opportunities in the Republic of Panama deriving from the signature of a Free Trade Agreement that has been signed between the countries.
The event commenced with the opening remarks of our President, Roberto Spindel, Amb. Adis Arlene Urieta Vega, Ambassador of Panama in Israel and Mr. Ohad Cohen, Director of the Israeli Foreign Trade Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
Later on, the Ministers and Amb. Vergara presented to the audience the advantages of trading with Panama and expressed their willingness to enhance mutual relations with a particular focus on bilateral trade with an emphasis on its unique attributes as a major regional hub.
Then followed the exchange of letters of notification between Mr. Ohad Cohen, Director of the Israeli Foreign Trade Administration, and the Minister of Commerce and Industries of Panama, Mr. Ramon Martinez.
Adding to the uniqueness of this prestigious event, Our Chamber also signed an MOU together with Cámara de Comercio, Industria y Agricultura Panamá-Israel, signed by the Presidents of both entities, Mr. Roberto Spindel, and Mr. Salvador Aviad to further cultivate bi-lateral ties.
The event concluded with a panel conducted by Ralph Ben Tal, Vice President and CFO of our Chamber, with members of the visiting Panamanian Delegation representing both the private and public sectors, comprising of a local businessman, leading international lawyer and senior trade adviser and VP of the National Bank of Panama. The panel enthused the audience with their experience, knowledge, and motivation to develop trade.
Finally, the conference enabled the many participants to network closely with their counterparts and cultivate mutual interest and explore opportunities.

Our President, Roberto Spindel, had a fruitful meeting with the recently appointed Ambassador of El Salvador to Israel, Amb. Héctor Enrique Celarié. They discussed ways to promote and strengthen the bilateral trade relationship between Israel and El Salvador.
